I hosted the last lesson in my online Bible study, THE ONE. I’m lowkey sad that I won’t be meeting up with my crew next week. 🥲But I am also motivated to figure out what we will do next. (If you have thoughts or a topic you would like to cover comment or message me!) Even though this wasn’t my first time teaching, speaking, or leading Bible Study, I was SO scared to do it online like that. What if no one showed up? What if someone started trolling? These internet streets can be shady, and y’all know it! 👏🏾👏🏾I set a goal to reach one person each week, took a deep breath and showed up anyway. Talk about Faith Beats Fear!! 🙌🏾❤️ Did you miss it? When you want a harvest but refuse to plant 🌱

I have been wanting to start a garden for the longest, but y‘all it is hard work. It requires planning, consistency, and an investment of time and money. And every time I think I am ready, I back out because it is overwhelming. However, as my friend/garden coach 😆 Chris Simo has instructed, a few seeds and a small space goes a long way.

🗣️🗣️But no matter what, I have to plant something NOW if I expect to enjoy veggies/fruits LATER.

I see this as a metaphor for our spiritual lives. I talk and meet with people who have a deep desire to have a vibrant life of faith. They want to “break generational curses” and establish legacies…but they are not planting any seeds in the garden of their souls. So…when they don’t get the harvest of spiritual growth, they are disappointed with God or doubt the concepts of faith and hope.

Their career and work garden has heavy crop rotation; family and friends…well-tended plants; self care, pleasure, me-time…blooming. 🌺

But that soul garden got lots of weeds and is a mess, ya’ll.😩😩

Here is the real gag, even as those other areas increase and grow, you will still feel a void, always seeking “MORE.” A well-cultivated soul garden makes all the other areas thrive and gives you a sense of the enough-ness and meaning no matter what.

👉🏾 All that to say, consider sowing a few seeds in your soul garden today. Pray. Sing. Read. Dance. Hope. Ask. Reflect. Love. Forgive. Learn. Linger. Believe.

Oswald Chambers wrote: “Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.”
